WHAT ECOREPORTS COULD DO FOR YOU...
EcoReports helps you tell the world about your company/organisation, what you do, and, particularly, what steps you are taking as a responsible business to minimise environmental damage and limit climate change.
An EcoReports ‘Companies & Organisations’ listing allows you to present your environmental or sustainability performance to the public – using existing environmental impact assessments, carbon reduction strategies, transport plans, supply chain Codes of Practice, green purchasing policies, and so on, if you have them.
Or, if you don’t, using the unique EcoReports software tools to help compile new reports, appropriate to your own organisation’s particular needs and circumstances.
|
For organisations just starting to investigate their potential for improved performance, EcoReports can simply allow you to make a preliminary statement of intent in regard to the environment, and then add in more information over time, as your initiatives progress.
The EcoReports ‘Products’ facility helps listed companies promote their goods and services to EcoReports users, and thus enjoy the benefits of marketing enhanced environmental performance to a wider, better informed and more appreciative audience than you might reach through conventional advertising or your own website. Other EcoReports features include automatic updates, bulletin boards, enquirer feedback and market polls.
For public organisations and private companies carrying out public functions, EcoReports also provides an ideal facility for meeting your statutory obligations under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 – as well as an information management system to help you show that you are doing so.
Company information can be as detailed as individual organisations wish, and can include tables, charts, photographs, whatever you want to include. The reality is likely to be that levels of information will improve over time as organisations’ CSR programmes develop and mature.
Each user takes responsibility for updating their own information and triggers the release of updated reports whenever they wish to.

Your inset lists could be here... with hyperlinks to other web-pages, links to pop-up windows, or just plain lists |
All information held in individual company sites is automatically formatted and transferred into an on-line report, with automatic notification to organisations and/or individuals the company wishes to inform of progress, but also available to public view and e-mailed to any site user who has identified the company as being of interest.
YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL INDEX(ES) COULD BE HERE...
Many organisations already hold quantities of environmental information, for example within their own websites, but this can often be widely scattered, poorly signposted and difficult to track down for an external viewer.
The EcoReports index tool has been developed to help provide easy access to all this information from a single entrypoint.

Organisations can generate one or more indexes (for example separate indexes for Transport, Energy, Water, etc, if desired), which will all be listed on their Home Page, as below.
YOUR 'COMMUNITY' COULD BE HERE...
EcoReports communities can be established by any organisation or company which see itself as responsible for a network of relationships with other organisations or companies, and which wants to show the world how its whole ‘family’ is trying to address global warming and other significant environmental issues. Such communities might include, for example:
-
professional/trade associations and representative bodies, which want to offer a unified environmental ‘shop-window’ for their members;
-
public organisations responsible for several different areas of activity or with numerous long-term partners – and which now have a duty, under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, to provide environmental information to the public in an accessible and transparent manner;
-
or simply companies with multiple subsidiaries or extensive supply chains, who want to demonstrate sustainability performance across their whole operation.
